The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Trade Partnerships Manager to increase our operational capacity and maximize revenue. As the Senior Trade Partnerships Manager at Helio, you’ll work with home improvement contractors, ranging from sole proprietors to million dollar enterprises, identifying, recruiting and onboarding them to our Production network and executing strategy for growth.  On the less glamorous side, you’ll also work to showcase Helio’s value to trade partners who have limited desire to join us.  You’ll identify and solve issues to help streamline onboarding and turn fence-sitters into raving fans.

Responsibilities

You’ll be a member of our Operations team,  but partner daily with Design and Sales team to ensure that our homeowners are getting the best in class work from our trade partners.  You will be responsible for:

  • Growing our production capacity through partnerships - We’ve built a foundation of happy and loyal partners, but need help propelling the growth of our network. You’ll identify and differentiate trade partners that can grow with Helio, as well as develop a systematic approach to recruiting and onboarding new partners.  
  • Seeing our partners’ needs before they do. Partner retention, upsells and growth is the name of the game.  You’ll develop relationships with each partner, enabling you to anticipate and pitch new ways that Helio can help their business.  You’ll also evangelize our trade partner needs internally - building infrastructure to propel sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with our trade network.
  • Building processes and structure for the future. Our founders like to call this flying the airplane while you build it.  As you listen to feedback from our trade partners, you’ll apply those learnings to create a Trade Partnerships Playbook, revolutionizing the way Helio works with our partners - and documenting best practices along the way.
  • Doing all of this in a mission-focused startup environment. There is a huge amount of freedom in how you get the above three goals completed. Our trade partners are crucial in helping us fulfill our mission in electrifying every home in America, and you are the spark they are waiting for.

Requirements

  • You have experience in account management, business development, or B2B sales in home improvement, HVAC, solar, or other trade-related industry.
  • You are passionate about sustainability and want to take an active part in mitigating the effects of climate change.
  • You are an excellent communicator, who effortlessly builds relationships, enjoys inspiring others, and can navigate tough conversations with ease
  • You are excited to positively impact small businesses growth and have a natural curiosity about our partners’ industries 
  • You are a skilled prioritizer, able to juggle multiple initiatives and remain organized via careful planning and CRM notetaking
  • You are a strategic thinker who enjoys translating big picture ideas into tactical implementation.

Salary:

Compensation range is $90,000 - $100,000 DOE plus equity
